Adventures of the Literary Kind

"You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me."
-C.S. Lewis
Sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants- to be completely cliche and sentimental (I'm never anything, if not sentimental)- and more often than not, my heart wants books. Over the years I've collected quite the library, with shelves overflowing and stacks towering. Even the faithful books from my childhood, their spines cracked and pages yellowing from years of literary adventures, remain. (I think the hardest job in the world must be bookshelf spring cleaning!) I'm always willing to welcome new additions, whether I have been anxiously awaiting their release date, or just happened upon them at the bookstore.

Of course the magical Neil Gaiman's newest anthology has been one of the former, along with the newest publication from the Audrey Hepburn Foundation. The other two novels, both picked up on a whim, look extremely promising and particularly enchanting. One, is about a mystical culture clash- The Golem and the Jinni, and the other, The River of No Return, tells the tale of time-travel society who saves the life of a historical soldier. Tell me they don't sound fabulous! It seems my summer reading list is already growing quite large, but I promise to give all you adventurers the full details as soon I finish my literary excursions!

    1. Yes! Add it to your list, which I'm sure is as long as mine...

I think, when books are involved, that it couldn't possibly be a problem. Except when it's time to dust, that part isn't very much fun.

    3. I think they're definitely going to be bookshelf keepers! So far, I've only started looking through the Audrey book, and it's just as fabulous as one could hope! Thanks for stopping by!
